Nate & Maria at Renaissance festival

Timmy, Sierra, Andrea, Theo
Here we are in Ubeda, Spain. The kids finished a year at the music conservatory. Sierra plays violin (& piano & cello), Andrea plays piano, Timmy plays guitar, and Theo is often found playing the piano. They also finished a year of homeschool which despite many changes of moving and travel, went well. They are out playing with neighbors a lot and enjoy going to church in Ubeda. The kids have adjusted well to life in Spain. The boys are still avid bikers but now all are avid swimmers too.
Nate & Mary Michelle have also seen the move to Ubeda as positive. Nate has taken on the role as youth leader, while we also reach out to the many towns around with no existing church. Nate has taken up tennis as a way to connect with guys, either our landlord or youth from the church.
Hi,
I stumbled across your blog while searching for ‘homeschooling in Spain’.We live in N.Ireland at the moment but have recently built a house near Malaga, and will be living there temporarily and possibly permenantly in the future.I have 3 children who I homeschool here and want to continue this in Spain.I have read that homeschooling is legal in Spain but yet there seems to be alot of confusion about it from the authorities.I was wondering what your experiences have been and how you find homeschooling there, any advice or information would be greatly appreciated,Many Thanks.
God Bless,
Hannah.
